Increasing in Favor from God
In previous teachings, we have learned that we must have an enlarged vision of what God wants us to do. We visualize with eyes of faith what God can do for us. We raise our level of expectancy by re-programming our mind and deepening our understanding about faith.
We thank the Lord that, we, as children of God, have an intrinsic value to Him. He has given us the power of sonship. He has granted us rights and privileges as children of God. Even though He is still molding us and is always testing our faith, we are truly blessed and highly favored.
Let us find out how we can increase in favor from God. Let us find out how to live favor-minded.
Who Are the Highly Favored?
We believe that we, who are in The Lord's Flock, are truly and highly favored by God. Do we live favor-minded? Do we visualize God's awesome favors? Do we actually confess being highly favored? Do we receive these favors and do we thank God?
The Faithful People of Integrity
Who can be highly favored by God? What does the Holy Bible say? I look to the faithful of the land; they alone can be my companions. T hose who follow the way of integrity, they alone can enter my service. (Psalms 101:6).
Those who are faithful to God; those who are men and women of integrity they arethe ones who are highly favored by God. They will receive favors from God wherever they go, wherever they are.
Those Who Serve the Lord
Whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am, there also will my servant be. The Father will honor whoever serves me. (John 12:28).
Those who are serving Jesus will be receiving honors and favors from God. The followers of Jesus, His obedient servants are among the highly favored. Theirs would be overflowing favors and blessings from God.
Deceitful and Lying Persons Will Not Be Favored by God.
Who are those who will not receive favors from God:
No one who practices deceit can hold a post in my court. No one who speaks falsely can be among my advisors. (Psalms 101:7).
Deceitful persons and those who lie will not receive favors from the Lord. When you receive anointing in our Community on the second Sunday of the month, but you do not make yourselves available to serve the Lord, then you are not being faithful. You are not a person of integrity. You will not receive favors from God.
You will not be favored by God if you speak falsely. You must speak the truth no matter what the circumstances are. Do not worry about how you are to speak or what you are to say. You will be given at that moment what you are to say. For it will not be you who speaks but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. (Matthew 10:19-20).
Favors Surround People of Integrity; and Those Who Serve the Lord.
When we are speaking truthfully, we will be favored by God. When we pray to God and ask Him to help us, it is very easy for Him to move. He answers our prayers; He can even change circumstances in our favor. He also provides a way out for us to be able to bear His trials for us. (1 Corinthians 10:13). We are more than conquerors through him who loves us. (Romans 8:37)
God's favors surround us like a shield when we keep our integrity and when we serve the Lord. Regardless of what other people may tell us or accuse us, we shall be favored by God. Whatever are the circumstances, God can change them and open a door for us
If we persevere in faith, God will honor us and provide special treatment for us. God wants to assist us, to promote us, and to give us preferential treatment.
Let Us Live Favor-Minded!
As children of God, let us live favor-minded. Let us expect to be treated differently. Did not God command the angels to guard us in all our ways? (Psalms 91:11). Let us thank God for this special favor. Let us also thank the angels for their protection for us and for our family, relatives, friends, and co-members in our Community.
We should have a raised level of expectancy of what we expect God to give us. With our lips, let us confess this expectation. Our Father God hears our declaration and endorses us to the Holy Spirit who provides guidance for other people to give us favors. When we receive favors from other people, it is actually God who asks them to give us preferential treatment.
Let us declare God's goodness always. Let us thank Him for His bountiful favors:
for our protection from harm;
for our healing and good health;
for sending other people to go out of their way to help us;
for jobs we secure after we pass tests and interviews;
for our financial blessings;
for countless small favors that made things easier for us.
Let us also be favor-minded by:
Never saying I can't make it!, I won't!. I don't have any money!
Believing and acting like a favored child of God, a champion, a conqueror!
Always claiming favors from God a very generous God!
Whenever we are asked by God during a test of faith, let us always answer Yes Lord, I do believe!
